Ocean Decade Virtual Series

The Ocean Decade Virtual Series is a series of high-level and scientific interactive virtual dialogues aimed at mobilizing the global ocean community and fostering transformative partnerships and innovative solution-oriented actions to achieve the Decade Outcomes.

Session 1, « Co-designing the science we need for the Ocean Decade”, on 24 September, 2020 (16:00 – 18:00) is unfortunately full but the other sessions will be posted soon on this page. Next session on October 5th, « The Ocean an Human Health » > Go Virtual!

EU4Ocean Platform: Co-Designing Ocean Literacy For Society

On 24–25 September 2020 the first EU4Ocean workshop on designing OceanLiteracy action in Europe will be organised by the EU4Ocean Coalition. A new initiative on ocean literacy of the European Commission.

Evolving and Sustaining Ocean Best Practices

The 4th Evolving and Sustaining Ocean Best Practices Workshop will be held online at various times between 17-30 September.

At the IOC Ocean Best Practices System (OBPS) Workshop IV, ocean practitioners will collaboratively address best practices as well as recommendations for the OBPS to meet community needs for advanced method development in ocean observations and applications. The outcomes  will guide the next implementation phase of the OBPS > Go Virtual!

Sea Tech Week 2020

From 12 to 16 October 2020, Sea Tech Week^® will be held virtually this year. This 2020 edition will be devoted to “Marine observation: from seabed to space”.
